Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal’s vibrant capital. Briefing session, sightseeing, and preparation for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa
Enjoy stunning aerial views of the Himalayas before arriving in Lhasa, Tibet’s spiritual heart. Rest and acclimatize.

Day 3: Lhasa Sightseeing
Visit iconic landmarks such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street market to absorb Tibetan culture.

Day 4: Lhasa to Shigatse
Drive through the beautiful Tibetan plateau to Shigatse, home to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama.

Day 5: Shigatse to Darchen
Continue the drive to Darchen, the gateway town to Mount Kailash, where the spiritual journey officially begins.

Day 6: Rest and Preparation in Darchen
Acclimatization day. Attend prayers and rituals at local monasteries, prepare for the Kailash Parikrama.

Day 7: Darchen to Dirapuk (3,900m)
Start the Kailash Parikrama trek. Trek approx. 14 km to Dirapuk, a monastery nestled beneath the north face of Mount Kailash.

Day 8: Dirapuk to Zutrulpuk (4,700m) via Dolma La Pass (5,630m)
The most challenging day. Cross the Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the pilgrimage, then descend to Zutrulpuk monastery.

Day 9: Zutrulpuk to Darchen
Complete the Parikrama by trekking back to Darchen. Evening rest and celebrations.

Day 10: Darchen to Mansarovar Lake
Drive to the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Participate in rituals such as holy bathing and meditation by the lake shore.

Day 11: Mansarovar to Saga
Drive back through spectacular landscapes to Saga. Rest and overnight stay.

Day 12: Saga to Shigatse
Long drive back to Shigatse, reflecting on the journey while enjoying the Tibetan countryside.

Day 13: Shigatse to Lhasa
Return to Lhasa. Free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing.

Day 14: Fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu
Return flight to Nepal. Farewell dinner and cultural program.

Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey home.
